Frontend engineer with 10+ years of experience. I've been the first or only frontend engineer at four startups, starting from an empty repo every time. I own the whole product surface (architecture, UI and the type-safe API layer) and go full-stack in TypeScript when the product needs it. I work agent-first, running parallel coding agents with lint rules and E2E tests as guardrails, and ship at the speed of a small team.

    • Started from zero: no repo, no infrastructure. Delivered a working MVP in 6 weeks as the only frontend engineer.
    • Built a Figma-like canvas for arranging and editing AI-generated images, with an integrated AI chat that streams reasoning and tool calls to generate and edit images.
    • Mocked the AI backend with its real recorded streams, so frontend work never waited on the backend. Onboarded the developers who took over the codebase.

    • Owned the frontend for 2+ years on a four-person founding team (founder, product designer, backend engineer, me), distributed across the US and Europe.
    • Adopted Next.js App Router, React Server Components and Server Actions in early 2024. Diagnosed and fixed RSC first-load performance limits, and published the lessons as an article.
    • Designed a type-safe API client shared across the frontend, and implemented WorkOS authentication. Both are published as articles.

    • Built an AI app generator: an Airtable-like data grid, plus a fine-tuned model that wrote React components bound to the user's data and rendered them live in Sandpack. This was 2023, before AI app builders became a category.

    • Joined as employee ~12 and the only frontend engineer. Drove the frontend architecture and technical decisions as the frontend team grew to 8 and the company to ~70 people.
    • Built many product features from scratch end to end, from the UI to the Node.js and GraphQL API.
    • Rebuilt the design system and built the shared table and data-fetching infrastructure the product runs on.
    • Migrated the build from webpack to Vite, which made the development server 50× faster.

    Soccer team manager with match video review, built solo with parallel agents (550+ commits since Jan 2026). Web, iOS, Android, Apple Watch (Swift) and Xiaomi watches: players log events offline on the watch and they sync to the match video.

    Auto-registration for gym classes. Solid 2 and Effect background workers, plus an MCP server that exposes it as a ChatGPT app.

  • Foreword

    Learn a book's hard words before you read it. EPUB and PDF parsing runs in the browser; AI generates study cards with translations.

  • LEGO Racers

  • ESLint plugins: Author of 6 published ESLint plugins and a strict shared ESLint / oxlint config. eslint-plugin-sort-export-all has 100K+ monthly npm downloads and is used by the AWS SDK for JavaScript v3.
  • Slidev for Obsidian: Community plugin with 1K+ downloads. Also slidev-addon-sandpack and pr-splitter (an AI tool that splits large PRs).
  • Talks: JavaScript Israel, ReactNext and NodeTLV, including “Adding AI Capabilities to React Apps with the Vercel AI SDK”.
